The 2019 Session has officially begun.

The first bills of the 2019 Session have started to appear on the Legislature’s website. You can find the House and Senate bills via the following link: www.capitol.hawaii.gov/advreports/main.aspx. The bill links will be populated with new bills until all bills that have made the bill introduction cutoff (Deadline is Thursday, Jan 24) is posted.

All our Session handouts have been updated for the new Session. You can find them on the information sheets page of our website: lrbhawaii.org/par/legfyi.html. Hardcopy handouts are also available at our office.

Those of you wanting to learn more about the legislative process or pick up advocacy tips are in luck as we’ll be offering a weekly workshop on Wednesdays at 12:00 noon in our office at the State Capitol (Room 401) throughout the rest of January and February. We have also scheduled an evening presentation for Tuesday, January 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in our office. Finally, we are now able to conduct remote workshops, which will be helpful for people that can’t make it down to our office (contact us for details). The 2019 Session ends on May 2, 2019.2019 session calendar_page_1
